Founded by Joao Blau in 1653, his name has Indian origin. It offers innumerable options of adventure and landscapes, as being in the State Park of the Serra do Mar. The Piazza Candido Mota is the centre of the Village with the Mother Church in colonial style. While other tourist points are “Pedra da Freira” on the beach “do Garcés and “Pedra do Jacaré” on the beach “Prainha”. Among the beaches, the most popular “Martim de Sa”, “Indaià” and the “Praia do Camaroeiro”, famous for the just caught, yearly Festival of shrimps.
