Founded in 1893, Guarujà has become a traditional summer aim for the Brazilians, especially for the “Paulisti” (habitants of San Paolo). The City is just 89 Km from the Capital of the State of Sao Paulo (San Paolo). With animated beaches and others nearly deserted, the City offers so much opportunity for those who want to amuse themselves, as for those who want to rest. But the coastal road is not the only attraction of Guaruja. The Island has also one of the most ancient golf fields of Brazil, inaugurated in December 1960. Furthermore there is a cycling road that goes along the whole promenade of the Inlet, perfectly for a trip in bicycle. Practically Guaruja offers all the services of a big city: shopping centre, supermarkets, Hotels and Restaurants. The night life is very lively, with Bars and discos.
